Terms and conditions
1. General
These terms govern the relationship between the traveler and Salkantay Go (“the agency”) for booking tours, treks and travel services in Cusco and Machu Picchu. By making a booking the traveler declares having read and accepted them.
2. Bookings
A booking is received when the booking form is submitted and confirmed once the agency verifies availability and receives the deposit or full payment, depending on the chosen option. For services with limited quotas (Machu Picchu tickets, Inca Trail permits, trains) confirmation depends on official availability.
Travelers must provide their details exactly as shown on their passport or ID. Any reissue costs caused by incorrect data are paid by the traveler.
3. Prices
- Prices are in US dollars (USD) per person unless stated otherwise.
- Online card payments carry a processing fee shown in the payment summary.
- Student rates require a valid student card (ISIC or university) at booking and during the tour.
4. Documents and health
Travelers are responsible for holding a valid passport, visas if required and travel insurance with medical and evacuation coverage. Relevant medical conditions must be reported. High-altitude treks require adequate fitness and prior acclimatization.
5. Liability
The agency acts with due diligence in selecting suppliers and operating services. It is not liable for delays, changes or cancellations caused by force majeure: weather, strikes, road closures, decisions of authorities or the Ministry of Culture, among others. In such cases reasonable alternatives will be offered.
6. Itinerary changes
The guide may change the order of activities or campsites for safety, weather or group condition, while maintaining service quality.
7. Conduct
Travelers agree to respect the rules of archaeological sites, the environment and local communities. The agency may exclude anyone who endangers the group’s safety.
8. Payments, cancellations and refunds
These are governed by our Payment and refund policy.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Peru. Any dispute shall be submitted to the courts of Cusco, without prejudice to the consumer’s right to contact INDECOPI or file a claim in our Complaints Book.
